În 2012, echipajul expediţiei 32, de la bordul Stației Spațiale Internaționale, a fotografiat Aurora Australa (Luminile Sudului). Astronautul NASA, Joe Acaba, a fotografiat din modulul Tranquility, braţul robotului Canadarm2 fiind in prim-plan.
