Jenson Button, fostul campion de Formula 1, a fost în simulatorul British Airways de la Londra Heathrow! Timp de 90 de minute a putut exersa aterizări, decolări și zboruri cu Airbus A380, singurul avion de pasageri cu 2 punți complete.
Jenson Button i-a avut ca instructori pe căpitanul Dave Thomas și pe William Swinburn, senior first officer.

La vârsta de 37 de ani, Jenson Button s-a aflat pentru prima dată într-un simulator de zbor. A operat 3 aterizări la Aeroportul Internațional din Hong Kong și a preluat comanda aeronavei Airbus A380. Acest model împreună cu Boeing 787 Dreamliner formează nucleul central al flotei British Airways.
Jenson said: “It was so cool! I’ve flown all over the world but this is the first time I’ve experienced what it’s like to be at the controls and it was a pretty incredible feeling.
“It’s like you’re in a real aircraft and after a while you forget it isn’t the real thing. I think I did pretty well for a first timer – though if there had been passengers in the back we might have had a few complaints about my first landing. Let’s just say it was a bit bumpy.”
